Residents were able to meet the cute critters to learn about their impact on our communities! We partnered with a bat expert to share how we can coexist and help protect the Florida bat population. Through the collaborative efforts of Commissioner Bonilla and her staff, Florida Bat Conservancy was awarded a community conservation grant to construct and install dozens of bat houses throughout Orange County. This mission will aid the dwindling bat population by providing them with alternative housing options in the face of rapid area developments.
