Goats & Ghouls Farm Tour

We are celebrating agriculture this week as we mosey towards our Farm Tour event, Goats and Ghouls. Did you know that agricultural practices started as late as 10,000 years ago? People gathered wild grains and planted them for food crops. They also captured wild pigs, sheep and cows and bred them to become domesticated. You heard it straight from the horse’s mouth! Orange County Fire Fighters Opening of ST67

The Orange County Fire Rescue Department has always provided industry-leading service to our residents. The groundbreaking of Station 67 is an investment towards furthering that streak of excellence by increasing accessibility to fire stations in the Orlando area. This is an integral part of the INVEST in Our Home for Life Initiative which will promote neighborhood revitalization and enhance the safety of our citizens. It is an honor to be able to witness how our county is evolving for the better. Thank you to all of the unsung heroes of the Fire Department that put their lives on the line on a daily basis to save others. We can’t thank you enough.

Lee Road Safe Neighborhood Community Clean Up

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Lee Road Safe Neighborhood Community Clean up on October 20th! We would like to give a special thank you to Pastor Tom and his staff at Calvary Chapel Orlando Church who allowed us to use their facilities for the event. At the end of the day, with the help of Advance Disposal and the Environmental Protection Division, we collected a total 14,640 lbs. of bulky items, trash, debris and household hazardous waste.
