We welcome all high school students to our youth in government initiative called the District 5 Youth Advisory Board! Join us as we embark on a journey of volunteerism, engaging discussions, and hands-on deep dives into critical local legislative topics under the mentorship of Commissioner Emily Bonilla. This month, we are privileged to have Representative Anna Eskamani join us for an insightful conversation on Florida laws surrounding our public school education. We provide a platform for our youth to:
- Engage: Dive deep into community issues and learn how to make a tangible impact.
- Advocate: Raise your voice on issues that truly matter to you and your peers.
- Lead: Take the reins in shaping the future of our district and make your ideas a reality.
- Collaborate: Connect with like-minded individuals and create lasting change together.
- Volunteer: Earn volunteer hours applicable to graduation and scholarships.
Mark your calendars for our orientation meeting at the County Administration Building on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 3:30 pm. All high school students residing in Orange County, especially in District 5, are welcome! We will have light refreshments for all to enjoy.
