All high school students are invited to participate in our youth in government program, the District 5 Youth Advisory Board! Come join us as we explore volunteer opportunities, engage in discussions, and delve into important local legislative topics, all under the guidance of Commissioner Emily Bonilla. This month, we’re excited to welcome House District 35 Candidate Nate Douglas for an enlightening conversation on youth organizing and civic engagement.
We provide a platform for our youth to:
- Engage: Dive deep into community issues and learn how to make a tangible impact.
- Advocate: Raise your voice on issues that truly matter to you and your peers.
- Lead: Take the reins in shaping the future of our district and make your ideas a reality.
- Collaborate: Connect with like-minded individuals and create lasting change together.
- Volunteer: Earn volunteer hours applicable to graduation and scholarships.
Don’t forget to mark your calendars for our orientation meeting at the County Administration Building on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at 3:30 pm. All high school students residing in Orange County, particularly in District 5, are invited to attend! Light refreshments will be provided for everyone to enjoy.
