The Highland Manor

A Haunting in Orange County

Did someone say BOO? Prepare to be scared (and informed) from hearing about the real hauntings in Orange County. Come along with Ting, the American Ghost Adventures team, and me to investigate the Highland Manor in Apopka, Florida.

The Highland Manor Haunting

The Highland Manor is nestled on secluded grounds in Apopka and possesses more than 110 years of rich history. It’s considered one of the most haunted houses in the area.

The walls and halls of this home hold many secrets and shadows. You can feel it just by walking among the three floors and countless rooms.

Beautiful windows, fireplaces, and dining tables make room for the spirits to lounge or stare, watching time pass by. Or at least that’s the energy we picked up in several spots around the Manor.

Ting and her team (American Ghost Adventures) came prepared to capture hard evidence. And from paintings flying off the wall to flashlights turning on, we definitely captured something.

Downtown Orlando Hauntings

American Ghost Adventures also runs tours in downtown Orlando. That is their longest-running tour full of spooky entertainment and real-life spirit investigations.

Multiple spirits are known to interact with tour guests. Ting elaborates, “I mean, downtown Orlando is going to be the best place that I want to say that you’re going to basically have some kind of paranormal experience.”

If you find yourself in Harry Buffalo’s, be on the lookout for a friendly spirit.

“There is a young man that is on the top floor of Harry Buffalo’s. He has made himself well-known. He’s actually shown himself to one of our tour guides, and his name is Aaron. So, Aaron is really, really friendly. He helps us out on our tours. He visits people quite often. He even has a favorite toy that we actually bring to him and give offerings to him. So, he’s one of our more helpful spirits there in downtown Orlando.”

When taking a ghost tour in downtown Orlando with American Ghost Adventures, you can expect a unique and informative experience.

“You’ll get more information about downtown Orlando that you would not get out of history books. You’ll get ghost stories that we personally have experienced, seen, or witnessed. And then, of course, you get to have hands-on with the equipment that we use on our investigations.”

Ting leaves a final word of advice to make your next ghost hunting tour one to remember, “Always come with an open mind and always be respectful of the spirits. We try to get the history correct so that they want to interact with us. So be friendly, be polite, and have fun.”
