Below is a summary of upcoming agenda items pertaining to District 5 and/or County-wide. Click on the numbered links to be sent to the Comptroller’s website for more information on the item, along with attachments of more documentation.

This meeting is starting at 2 PM and will not have a morning session. We will congratulate the Procurement department for their award of achievement. There are Mayor’s reappointments for top-level positions. In an effort to increase the minimum wages of County employees to $15 per hour, we will be amending our employee pay policies. We will be approving a resolution to move forward the purchase of the Harrod Property in District 5 for a passive recreation park and conservation. We will also have a work session on Community Redevelopment Areas.

Regarding land use cases, we do have a controversial case located by Bithlo that involves a Yard Waste Facility and Excavation Permit for reclaiming a currently operating Borrow Pit. We also have some cases for district 5 in the BZA recommendations.

Finally, at the end of the meeting, we will be having our 1st of 2 Public Hearings regarding Accessory Dwelling Units as one way to help alleviate our Affordable Housing Crisis in Orange County.
