Keep Your Social Distance to Flatten the Curve
The CDC recommends that you continue to stay at home as much as possible. Do not travel or go out, especially if your trip is not essential. The only way to keep flattening the curve is by minimizing our exposure and practicing social distancing, especially if you are at a higher risk of developing severe illness. Don’t travel if you are sick or travel with someone who is ill.
Plasma Donations from Recovered COVID-19 Patients
The Red Cross is seeking people who are fully recovered from the new coronavirus to sign up to donate plasma to help current COVID-19 patients. People who have fully recovered from COVID-19 have antibodies in their plasma that can attack the virus. This convalescent plasma is being evaluated as a treatment for patients with severe or immediately life-threatening COVID-19 infections.
Donate Blood
Thank you to those who have donated blood to community blood centers that are in higher demand due to the number of increased hospitalizations and schools being closed down, of where most of the donated blood comes. The American Red Cross says people who are healthy and can give blood should do so. Schedule your appointment today.
Think before you flush!
Orange County Utilities reminds residents to #ThinkBeforeYouFlush. Wet/disinfecting wipes and paper towels may clog pipes, leading to backups and overflows. Help protect the sewer system and toss these used items and other #nonflushables in the trash.
Follow the Guidelines
The National Latino Evangelical Coalition has provided a manual for congregations for re-opening. It is only a manual, and churches are free to use as their local context and laws allow. The manual does not tell churches, and places of worship when and how but provides general practical and best practices guidance.
